China Telecom Releases “Tianyan” Quantum Computing Cloud Platform: Fully Autonomous and Controllable, with Four Core Advantages

Lv Pin stated that China is the only country that has achieved “quantum computing superiority” in both superconducting quantum and quantum physics systems; But how to apply these scientific research achievements to practical scenarios and promote technological and industrial revolution is a topic that the entire industry chain, including China Telecom, needs to consider.
When discussing the implementation of quantum information technology, Lv Pin pointed out that in the next 10 years, quantum computing cloud platforms and quantum fusion will be the mainstream forms of quantum computing towards practicality. To this end, China Telecom has launched the “Tianyan” quantum computing cloud platform, which integrates the supercomputing power of “Tianyi Cloud” with the computing power of 176 superconducting quantum bits. It is a super fusion cloud platform with the ability of “quantum superiority”.
According to Lv Pin, China Telecom’s quantum computing cloud platform is based on the ultra hybrid cloud architecture, providing core capabilities such as quantum cloud operating system, quantum computing compilation, quantum computing simulation, and graphical programming, achieving hybrid scheduling of supercomputing and quantum computing on the cloud, reducing the threshold for the use of quantum computers. This will accelerate quantum computing to assist in quantum chemistry research, new drug and material development, energy and meteorological simulation, and other scenarios, which is of great significance in promoting quantum computing towards practicality.
Tianyan has four core advantages: firstly, the superconducting quantum computer connected to the “Tianyan” platform can handle specific problems such as random line sampling at a speed of 10 million times faster than the fastest supercomputing currently available, truly realizing the superiority of quantum computing; Secondly, this is a fully autonomous and controllable quantum cloud platform that has achieved localization of everything from real machines to operating systems to compiling software; Thirdly, quantum computing is expected to exponentially increase computing speed in application scenario simulation in the future, achieving excessive collaboration; Fourthly, China Telecom has partnered with over 2000 Tianyi Cloud ecological partners and 20 quantum computing ecological partners to create a quantum computing ecological alliance and jointly promote the development of quantum technology.
China Telecom will continue to focus on improving the performance of quantum computing cloud platforms, and by 2025, access to quantum computers of no less than 500 qubits; By 2030, the platform will interface with super quantum computers of no less than 10000 qubits. China Telecom will continue to increase its investment in research and development of quantum technology, promote the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and form a full scenario capability system including quantum computing, quantum communication, and security.
